Gal's Bakery – breakfast_restaurant

Set slightly back from HaNassi Boulevard in Carmel Center, Gal's Bakery has held the old Kastler site since 2003, when pastry chef Gal Gabrieli took it on. Morning pastries set the tone, but the counter runs sweet and savoury together: quiche, bourekas, cakes, and coffee worth sitting down for. The real draw is out back, a green courtyard where an enormous ficus throws shade over the tables. Kosher, small, and unhurried. A proper pause in the middle of a Haifa day.
