Gracie's Diner – diner

A Second Avenue diner in Yorkville doing what a New York diner is supposed to do: open early, close late, and cook the entire encyclopaedia. Breakfast is omelettes, griddle plates and Belgian waffles with fresh-squeezed juice. The rest of the day brings char-broiled Angus burgers, fried wings, wraps, hot open sandwiches, pasta, seafood and a run of Mediterranean plates. The chicken and matzo ball soups have their own following. Regulars praise it less for invention than for reliability, with food that arrives hot and service that neither rushes you nor forgets you. Precisely the neighbourhood diner you want.
