Luchana hides inside a filling station on Moshav Emunim, which is exactly the sort of address that makes a restaurant worth the drive. Inside it is relaxed and family-run, an Italian kitchen with Mediterranean leanings: fresh breads and starters, seasonal pasta dishes built around whatever the fields and the coast are giving that week, mains and house desserts. Prices are unshowy for the standard of cooking. Diners tend to arrive sceptical about the location and leave planning a return. Come in the evening, when the room settles into itself.
