מקסיקני באשדוד – restaurant

HaMexicani started on a Beer Sheva side street in 2006 and now runs branches the length of the country; the Ashdod outpost sits in the Gan Ha'ir centre on HaGdud HaIvri. The tortilla is the vehicle, filled with the house mix of ground beef and ground entrecote in Mexican spice, or with pargit, chicken breast, entrecote, or combinations of the lot. There is a rice plate until two in the afternoon, nachos with salsa and avocado, and fried cauliflower with sweet chilli. Kosher under Badatz Beit Yosef, closed Friday, open once Shabbat ends. Cheap, fast, filling.
