Mike's Chicken Crunchers – Restaurant

Kosher fried chicken done as a project rather than a shortcut, from a takeout unit on Cedarbridge Avenue in Lakewood. The Original Crunchers come in a cornflake crust; from there it splits into hot poppers in buffalo sauce, bourbon hickory in panko, Greek herb with pita crumbs, spicy Korean, and marsala with mushroom. Twenty-odd sauces sit behind the counter. Platters land five varieties at once, rice bowls have joined the menu, and the Mediterranean bowl with beet tahini gets named again and again. No seating — this is a bag-and-go operation, and it moves fast.
