Village Pizza (Rt 9) – Restaurant

A Route 9 pizza counter on River Avenue in Lakewood, busy at lunch and busier at dinner, built for speed. Slices and whole pies come out fast — regular, white, penne vodka — alongside the calzones people actually queue for, the spinach one especially, plus whole-wheat calzones, garlic knots, mozzarella sticks and fries. It gets crowded, and the counter handles it without losing the thread; pricing stays sensible and the staff stay friendly. Not fancy and not trying to be. A neighbourhood slice shop that gets the basics right.
