Vivino calls itself Italy's culinary embassy in Israel, and the Bitan Aharon branch plays it exactly as the chain intends: big tables, bigger groups, a wood oven doing the talking. Focaccia comes out of it with olive oil, tomato salsa, garlic confit and reduced balsamic; there is roasted eggplant carpaccio with yogurt cream and pomegranate, polenta with champignons and truffle, camembert baked inside a focaccia wrap. Pastas run from spaghetti pomodoro with burrata to campanelle carbonara and linguine with seared salmon. Pizza, wine, dessert, noise. Family Italian, played at volume.
