BONCHON – Restaurant

On East Fletcher Avenue, a short walk from the university, Bonchon Tampa turns out the chain's double-fried chicken to a student-friendly rhythm. The coating shatters and the sauces do the rest: soy garlic, spicy, Korean BBQ or yangnyeom, brushed onto wings, drumsticks, strips or boneless. The kitchen also runs Gold Dust-seasoned sides and a K-chicken sandwich alongside Korean staples such as bibimbap, bulgogi, japchae, buldak and house fried rice. Bao buns, Korean tacos and a Mopo corndog work as openers. Sides mean kimchi, cucumber salad and Korean street corn. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, the doors stay open right until ten.
