Café 38 – cafe

A neighbourhood room on King Solomon Street in central Tel Aviv, from the group behind La Shuk, A La Bar and Cafe Koko, and occupying the space that was once Cafe Sheine. It works as cafe, bistro and brasserie, each in turn. Mornings bring avocado on Nelson toast and an egg salad sandwich; midday adds crisp lettuce with asparagus, peach, pecorino and salted almonds, tomato risotto, veal schnitzel with puree, and a gruyere burger with chips. Evenings split into small plates, vegetable dishes, crudo and hot dishes. Cheesecake and a breakfast negroni built on cold brew are the house indulgences.
