Café-Bar Papaxantares – restaurant

Rúa do Tambre 183, and the Saturday plan is pulpo á grella: octopus over the grill in the Galician way, laid out with cachelos and good olive oil. Papaxantares has been a family café-bar in Santiago de Compostela since 2018, and the pitch has not shifted since — home cooking, done with humility and care, served by people who learn your face. A menú del día runs right through the week, weekends bring the special menus, and any of it can go home with you in a box. The room was recently refurbished; the cooking stayed exactly where it was.
