Café Nimrod – restaurant

A Galilee-minded bar-restaurant transplanted into Tel Aviv, founded by two Rosh Pina natives, Ehud Segev and David Eyal, in memory of Nimrod Segev, who fell in the Second Lebanon War. The kitchen leans northern: Galilean breakfasts, breads and home-made jams, spicy or vegan shakshuka with challah, Galilean frittata, fattoush with feta and torn focaccia, mushroom or cauliflower falafel, tabun-baked lasagna, sea bream fillet on roasted vegetables, lamb kebab over charred aubergine, salmon from the tabun. Desserts are made in-house: apple crumble, pistachio pie, cremino. Warm shawls appear when the evening turns cool. Unhurried, and the northern accent is the point.
