A small, cheap and reliably busy shawarma-and-falafel counter in Zarzir, open from half past eight in the morning until midnight — and straight through on Saturday, when much of the country is shut. The spit and the fryer do the work, backed by a spread of salatim and platters sized for a family; there is outdoor seating and self-collection for anyone in a hurry. The laffa comes in for particular praise from regulars, as does the unhurried welcome. Modest prices, generous plates, no ceremony.
