יאשקה רמת אפעל – restaurant

Yashka has been turning the spit since 2011, when the first branch opened on Dizengoff in Tel Aviv; the Ramat Efal outpost is one of a dozen or so across the centre and Sharon. The order is simple and the queue moves: shawarma carved to order into pita, laffa or onto a plate, piled with a rotating spread of fresh salads and sides. Beyond the spit there are grilled meats, cooked dishes and falafel. Regulars talk about generous, home-style plates and quality meat rather than frills. Straightforward Israeli grill food, done properly.
