Midtown's all-hours corner: Berlina Cafe keeps its counter at 600 Eighth Avenue running from six-thirty in the morning until two the next, feeding Port Authority crowds and Garment District regulars alike. New York slices come off the deck, and the sandwich board runs to chicken parmigiana, Philly cheese steak, pastrami with caramelized onions on a hero, a Steak House on ciabatta, a grilled veggie with basil pesto and goat cheese. Mornings bring waffle and French toast platters plus the Times Square Bagel, smoked salmon and scallion cream cheese on an H&H bagel. Delivery, takeout and catering. Cheap, quick, endlessly open.
