Café Lyria – cafe
A Greek-leaning coffee house at 166 Crosby Street, set into the ground floor of a NoHo apartment building and open eight until five, every day of the week. Brothers Yannis and Theo built a room of high ceilings, dark wood, exposed brick and a great deal of foliage, with tables outside when the weather allows. Coffee is the draw: a house drink they call the Lyria, freddo espresso over ice, matcha, and pastries and croissants alongside. Books, games and papers encourage lingering, and people do. Getting a weekend seat takes patience regulars keep saying is repaid. Service draws warm marks.
