Carol's Cafe – cafe

Tucked inside Greenacre Park on East 51st Street, a pocket park with a wall of falling water at its back, Carol's is a small counter operation that uses the whole park as its dining room. Order at the window, carry it to a table under the trees, eat to the sound of the waterfall. Breakfast runs all day: pancakes, French toast, eggs with hash browns, egg and sausage sandwiches. Lunch brings burgers cooked to order and loaded with fresh vegetables, plus coffee and cold cans. Regulars come for the setting and the prices. Breakfast and lunch only here, no evenings.
