The cafe attached to the Comedy Cellar, and by the club's own account the room where a good deal of American stand-up gets worked out - comedians break bread here between sets, and the arguments over hummus and kebabs have a habit of turning into material. It sits at street level on MacDougal between West 3rd and Bleecker, dine-in or takeaway, open from eleven until midnight. The Olive Tree Madmen play live every Monday evening. Middle Eastern food, an unhurried room, and unusually good odds on your neighbour being famous.
