Café Bar Bendaña – bar

Rúa Nova is pedestrian and a minute from the Cathedral, which is how Café Bar Bendaña keeps its small terrace filled and its fifteen tables busy inside. The card is a Santiago staple: breakfasts, coffees and infusions early, then beer and wine with a tapa on the side, sandwiches, hot and cold bocadillos, raciones and salads. The kitchen works two shifts, midday until four and again from seven until eleven. Spanish tortilla is made fresh to order and it is what regulars send visitors for. Wi-Fi, cards accepted, and the doors stay shut on Tuesdays. Simple, central, and reliably busy.
