Tucked onto Sirkin Street beside Haifa's Talpiot Market, YanArt cooks South America almost entirely without meat. Colombian arepas come filled with cheese, Venezuelan ones with a plant-based filling. Empanadas split by nationality, Colombian fried from corn flour and Argentinian baked, both arriving with a trio of sauces. Then tequenos, pandebono, alfajores and Colombian rice pudding. The rest of the board runs Israeli and Mediterranean: shakshuka, a Talpiot breakfast spread, mujadara, tzatziki, house and Argentinian salads, cauliflower and Mexican tomato soups, vegan cubano and shawarma. Soups run to carrot and pumpkin. Coconut lemonade closes it. Open early, closed Tuesdays and Saturdays.
