Dekel Café – coffee_shop

Adi Goldstein opened this small cafe on the Nordau pedestrian mall in Haifa's Hadar in 2023, choosing a shaded, quiet stretch that was once the city's smartest street and had since gone largely empty. Her stated aim was a room that gets strangers talking. A glass vitrine by the counter shows the sandwiches being built on site, on bread from the Ehrlich bakery, and the coffee is bought in from the Neima roastery. Tables sit inside and out along the street, the traffic noise of Herzl Street somehow absent. Open from morning until mid-afternoon, closing earlier on Fridays, shut Saturdays.
