חומוס אבו שוקרי מסעדה – restaurant

Hummus in Abu Ghosh, served in a big, bright, well-kept room on Derech HaShalom, and the plates arrive the way they should: generous, plump golden chickpeas crowning the top, soft ful breaking through the mash beneath. Around it come falafel, a plain fresh salad, pickles and pita, and for anyone staying longer there is mejadra, stuffed vine leaves and a real list of grilled meats. The house grinds on the heavier, more aromatic side, a style people either sidestep or are devoted to. Service is brisk and friendly. Worth the drive if that is your hummus.
