Behind the pots at Kmo Pa'am on HaShaked in Tel Mond stands Itzik, who cooks everything himself and goes home when it runs out. The offer is couscous and the North African home kitchen around it: vegetarian or meat-and-chicken sauces over the grain, mafrum, stuffed vegetables, meatballs and a rotating set of stews. It's open for lunch only, six days a week, and closed on Shabbat. Regulars describe it as eating at someone's kitchen table rather than a restaurant, and say the price barely reflects the portion. Come early or miss out.
