Landwer Café – cafe

Landwer at the Ayalon Mall on Aba Hillel Silver is a shopping-day fixture in Ramat Gan: proper coffee, a real kitchen, and enough room to sit down and actually eat. Breakfast plates run late, then it is Tabula Rasa salad, Balkan calzone, Israeli fish and chips, rose pasta, a crispy fish burger. Warm hand-made focaccia lands first, with garlic butter, oregano and sea salt. The coffee comes from the company that opened the country's first roastery back in 1919, a detail regulars like to repeat. Cheesecake or Jerusalem rugelach on the way out.
