A small pink-fronted bakery on SW 6th Street in Pompano Beach, family-run and built around one obsession: the macaron. MACAMOCHI makes its gluten-free macarons and its mochi in house, alongside handmade Dubai chocolate — the pistachio-and-kataifi bar that took over the internet — and crunchy fruit. Boxes and towers go out for parties; the counter trade is walk-in, Monday through Sunday with Tuesday off. It is a production kitchen with a shop attached rather than a café, and the shelves change with what has just come out. Small, specific, and very good at one thing.
