Café Local – coffee_shop

Ramat Alon waited about twenty years for a neighbourhood cafe and got one on Dubnov Street, where the whole point is local. The coffee comes from a Haifa roastery, the pastries from a Haifa bakery, the sandwiches are built in house by Shimon Benizri, who opened the place with the team behind Pizza Nina. Work by Haifa artists hangs on the walls and it is all for sale; books by Haifa writers sit within reach. No newspapers, politics deliberately left outside. Doors open at seven on weekdays and stay open into the evening. Community first, coffee a very close second.
