Ciao, Gloria is a bakery, coffee shop and daytime cafe on Vanderbilt Avenue in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, baking there since 2019 under Renato Poliafito, formerly a co-owner of the Red Hook bakeshop Baked. The counter mixes Italian American baking, biscotti, amaretti and crostata, with chocolate chunk cookies, cinnamon rolls and layer cakes. Breakfast runs all day: frittata, avocado and ricotta toasts on seeded sourdough, overnight oats, and egg sandwiches on house-made brioche with Calabrian chili aioli. Lunch brings focaccia sandwiches including the Italo Disco Club, Bella Ciao and Mr. Beefy, plus hearty salads, grain bowls and a chicken Caesar wrap.
