Yehudale is a home-cooking restaurant on Sheshet HaYamim in Kfar Saba, named by owner Lior Shai for his father Yehuda, and the cooking follows suit: dishes drawn from across Israel's communities, with the menu shifting day to day depending on what's in the pots. Expect beetroot kubbeh, soups, Iraqi-style patties, mafrum, beef and chicken meatballs, couscous, salads and slow-pulled asado, plus Friday platters for Shabbat. Diners talk about the warmth as much as the food - a family feel, and an owner who works the room. Grandmother cooking, served without ceremony.
